Fall from Wolf Creek Dam leaves teen critical

A 17-year-old male has fallen from the guardrail viewing area just south of Wolf Creek Dam on the Lake Cumberland side, not from the higher lookout on the Cumberland River Side, according to the Russell County Sheriff's Office. First Responders are on the scene.

The victim fell approximately 200 feet and was partially in the water when reached by boat by members of South Russell Fire Department and Russell County EMS.



UPDATE: He was brought to Halcomb's Landing then airlifted by PHI Air Medical to the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

The victim is in critical condition with a severe head laceration and possible multiple broken bones.
