Albany man pleads guilty to wanton endangerment Attorney General Andy Beshear's office reports on outcome of November 7, 2017 incident in Clinton County, KY. Accused pleads guilty to one count each of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree terroristic threatening. Sentencing will be July 12, 2018. Click on headline for complete story By Terry Sebastian and Crystal Staley News from the Kentucky Attorney General's Office FRANKFORT, KY - (Thu 21 Jun 2018) - Attorney General Andy Beshear and his Office of Special Prosecutions today announced a Clinton County man has pleaded guilty to wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and terroristic threatening. Daniel R. Guffey, 53, of Albany, pleaded guilty June 18 in Clinton Circuit Court to one count each of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree terroristic threatening. Guffey is facing 5 years in prison and must pay $1,000 in restitution. He is scheduled to be sentenced July 12. The Clinton County Sheriff's Office investigated the case, and Beshear's Office of Special Prosecutions is handling the prosecution. According to court records, on or about November 7, 2017, Guffey kicked in the door to the residence of his estranged wife and discharged a firearm damaging her stove, while she and her minor son were present. Guffey also threatened to shoot his estranged wife. Beshear said Guffey is currently on home incarceration. This story was posted on 2018-06-22 09:55:33
