Edwin (Boo) VanCleave, 72 Taylor County, KY

October 22, 1945 - June 07, 2018 (Age: 72)

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country honorably in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a native of Jefferson County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of his death. He was a retired employee of the Campbellsville Water Company, where he worked at the Water Treatment Plant. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved to pick on people he liked. He was the son of the late William VanCleave & Zillah Antle VanCleave. His wife, Paula Newcomb VanCleave, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Michael Goodwin. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 11am-1pmCT/12pmNoon-2pmET, Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Edwin "Boo" VanCleave was the son of the late William VanCleave & Zillah Antle VanCleave. He was born October 22, 1945, in Jefferson County, KY. He died at Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY at the age of 72 years, seven months, and 18 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country honorably in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Edwin was a retired employee of the Campbellsville Water Company, having worked at the Water Treatment Plant.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved to pick on people he liked.

He united in marriage to Paula Newcomb August 31, 1974.

Besides his wife, Paula VanCleave of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by:
  • One son and one daughter: Robby VanCleave and wife, Becky of Campbellsville, KY; and Nikki Espey and husband, Curtis, of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Skyeler Espey of Bowling Green, KY; and Lee VanCleave of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Cary Pickett August 22, 1997.
