One of the many booths at Farmers Market on the Square (FM2) in Columbia offers breads and cinnamon rolls by Paul Sullivan from Goose Creek in Cumberland County.

He does all his own baking and said the Lord blesses him with the ability to do it himself even though he works from a wheelchair after being disabled when he was stabbed in the back.

He was living and working in Pikeville in 1990. He went into a convenience store to pay for his gas where a robber stabbed him, striking vertebra.

After the spinal surgeries he said he couldn't keep anything on his stomach until he made bread with ingredients that included honey and real cow butter.

"It worked," he said, "I started getting better and continued making bread and I’ve been baking ever since. I come to the Farmers Market to be with friends and make new ones."
The next Farmers' Market on the Square will be 8am-1pmCT, Saturday, 9 Jun 2018, at the corner of Merchant & Campbellsville Street in Downtown Columbia, KY
