Baby Daxon Rich dedicated to the Lord in the arms of family Rev. Patton said he couldn't remember ever holding a dedication service where there were so many Grandparents. Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Linda Waggener with Bryan Rich The newest member of the Rich family of Adair County is three-month-old Daxon, son of Will and Samatha Rich, born February 16, 2018. Daxon was presented to the congregation Sunday, May 6, 2016, in a ceremony led by Egypt Christian Church Pastor Paul Patton with vows spoken by the family to raise up the little one in the ways of Christian faith in Jesus Christ. Rev. Patton said he couldn't remember ever holding a dedication service where there were so many Grandparents. Keepsake pictures were made of the whole huge family group that spanned nearly the width of the church including Parents, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, and Great Great Grandparents, and two Uncles named Luke, then smaller group photos were made of the first grandchild with the mom's family and the dad's family. The smaller group photos accompany this article. One of the sweetest photos from the event showed the oldest and youngest members of the family together, three-month-old Daxon held in the loving support of his 93-year-old Great Grandfather Stanley Rich. Dax's Mom, explaining why the photos showed her baby in the sanctuary with no shirt on, said, "We don't usually dress our boy like an outlaw but he got really hot in church this morning." He probably got a record-breaking number of hugs from family and friends in the congregation during his Dedication ceremony. Rich group photo included Dax's Grandparents Bryan and Alma Rich, baby Daxon in the arms of his Great Grandfather Stanley Rich, Dax's Mom and Dad Will and Samantha Rich, and Dax's Uncle Luke Rich. He has two uncles named Luke. In the photo with his Mom Samantha's family were Dax's Uncle Lucas Hadley, Dax's Great Great Grandmother Jeanette Keith, Carolyn and William Burton holding their Great Grandson Daxon, parents Samantha and Will Rich, Dax's Grandparents Tina and Gerald Hadley and Great Grandparents Clifton and Alterene Hadley.
