New signs honor Miss Kentucky 2017 Molly Matney

21st District State Representative Bart Rowland introduced a bill to honor Molly Matney with signs proclaiming Center, KY, as the "Home of Molly Matney 2017 Miss Kentucky." The signs were unveiled during a ceremony on April 30 in Center.

Molly with her parents, Avery and Rhonda Matney from Center, Kentucky. Molly grew up on her parents beef cattle farm and has been passionate about agriculture since she was a small child. Her platform issue is "Farm Fit", a program that encourages consumers to develop stronger and healthier bodies by purchasing and consuming locally grown products. Molly is the spokesperson for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture's "Kentucky Proud" program.

Miss Kentucky Molly Matney with a loyal fan, Achilles Lagermann. The Great Pyrenees met Molly at the Metcalfe County Christmas Parade, and wouldn't miss this historic event! The sweet lady on the left of the picture is Molly's paternal grandmother Shirley Matney. She's wearing a beautiful shirt featuring her famous granddaughter!
