About 30 antique tractors joined the 15 horse and mule plow teams Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Homeplace on Green River annual Plow Day festival.
The tractor showing was in memory of the late Lewis Garrison owner of Garrison Construction and avid antique tractor collector.

Lewis Garrison planned and hosted a tractor show annually which drew hundreds of people from throughout several states.

Several years ago, Mr. Garrison moved his tractor show to Homeplace.

The show was not held last year (for that matter, last year's event itself was a plowless Plow Day, due to the weather) but with the help of Eddie Cowherd and Wayne Livesay, Homeplace is reviving the show in Lewis Garrison's memory.

Several of Lewis's tractors were brought to Homeplace for this year's show. About 2500 from at least three states attended the Plow Day/Spring Festival family festival, Saturday, April 21, 2018.

"The tractor showing was in memory of the late Lewis Garrison, owner of Garrison Construction and avid antique tractor collector," George Kolbenschag writes. The big semi is now a familiar sight in parades and elicits memories of the impresario who built his tractor show into a major event at Clay Ridge, Adair County, KY.
