On April 8, 2018 Mt. Gilead Christian Church began a new era. The congregation welcomed Bro. Robbie Harmon to lead our worship. Bro. Harmon lives in Campbellsville and also preaches at Greensburg Christian Church.

Mt. Gilead Christian Church has been fortunate to have so many wonderful preachers that have brought forth God’s word.

The church began over 175 years ago. As well, the church is on a National Historical site known as Longhunters Camp.

According to the Historical Marker.com, a group of Longhunters led by a Joseph Drake and Henry Skaggs came upon Daniel Boone singing a hymn on the site where Mt. Gilead Christian Church now stands.

Although the church building has gone through many changes, the congregation members carry forth the beliefs and ideals of the Christians who worshiped there, before them. Mt. Gilead Christian Church is at the intersection of KY 767 and Skinhouse Branch Road/KY 2188, which also is on the Adair/Green County line between Highway 61 and Highway 55 North. The congregation invites everyone to join them for worship starting at 9:30amCT, every Sunday with Bible Study to follow.
