29 Year old Columbia man arrested on drug charges Law enforcement alleges suspect had been on the run for several months. He was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, facing multiple charges. Click on headline for complete story NOTE: Arrests are considered charges. An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged in an arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. From Adair County Sheriff's Office Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss reports that on Saturday night around 10pmCT, April 7, 2018, that the Adair County Sheriff's Office received information that a subject who had been on the run from authorities for several months had been spotted at a residence 6 miles east of Columbia on Liberty Road. Adair County Sheriff Moss and Deputy Hitch along with Kentucky State Trooper Chase Willis responded to this location, to attempt to locate this subject. Upon arriving at this location 29 year old Teddy Pyles of Columbia was located at the residence. Pyles was arrested on outstanding warrants for flagrant non support, and criminal possession of a forged prescription, 1st degree. During the arrest located in the area of Pyles were substances that appeared to be methamphetamine. Pyles was arrested and transported to the Adair County Regional Jail and charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine).
