Police charge man for having sawed-off shotgun on LWC campus Officers of the Columbia Police Department, answering an alert from Lindsey Wilson Public Safety Department, arrested a 25-year old Columbia man, alleging drug violations and possession of sawed off shotgun while on the campus. Suspect lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail after arrest by CPD Sgt Gary Roy and Ofc. Charles Greer. NOTE: Arrests are considered charges. An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged in an arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. By Ofc. Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief Jason Cross Columbia Police arrest Adair County man following suspicious person complaint. On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, Columbia Police Department received a call from Lindsey Wilson College public safety of a suspicious male walking around in campus property. Upon arrival Sgt Gary Roy, located the person in question. It was found that he was not a student and he was found to be in possession of a firearm and illegal narcotics. Arrested was Jeffrey Gilbert, age 25, of Columbia, KY on charges of: He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by CPD Sgt Gary Roy who was assisted by Ofc. Charles Greer.
