By Joe Hare, Commander, VFW Post 6097

VFW Post 6097 Columbia, KY, upon hearing about the need for bats at the Little League, due to a new rule from National, wanted to help a little.

As Joe Johnson, one of our (VFW) life members and mainstay, was also one of the founders of and long time leader of the Little League here, we feel it only fitting that we help in some small way.

In the accompanying photo are Andy Watts, Adair County Little League board member, and son Ethan Watts receiving a check from VFW 6097 Quartermaster Ronnie Holt for $250.00.

We encourage any one or group to help support this great group for the kids.

Joe Hare, 6097 Commander
