He was born in Columbia, KY. He was a member of prominent Adair/Metcalfe County family, , the son of the late Conrad "Chick" Walker and Ione Oakes Walker. He was a retired refinery worker. His final resting place will be in the Leatherwood Cemetery in Adair County, KY. He leaves 10 direct living descendants.

Danny Louis Walker age 72 of Greenville, SC, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 in Greenville.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Leatherwood Cemetery, Nell, Adair County, KY. Visitation will be from 9amCT until service time Saturday at the funeral home.



Born in Columbia, Adair County, KY, he was the son of the late Conrad "Chick" Walker and Ione Oakes Walker of the Nell Community of Adair County, KY. He was a retired refinery worker.

He is survived by
  • His wife: Teresa Walker of Greenville, SC

  • Three daughters; Angela (John) Glyder of Mt Pleasant, SC; Amy Thomas of Georgia and Amanda Walker of Simpsonville, SC.

  • Six grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Bobby Walker and Norma Dean Sims.
