She leaves five direct living descendants. and one brother, Don Benningfield of Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY. .

Wyona B. Mitchell, 80, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 4:20amET, Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Campbellsville.

The funeral service for Wyona B. Mitchell will be at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, April 9, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. Brian Rafferty. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Wyona B. Mitchell, 80, Taylor County, KY (1938-2018)


Wyona B. Mitchell was the daughter of the late Charles Benningfield and Carrie Green Benningfield. She was born March 31, 1938, in Taylor County, KY. She died Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 80 years, five days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Wyona was a fulltime homemaker who enjoyed watching UK Basketball, gardening, camping and working word search puzzles.

She united in marriage to James Robert Mitchell January 29, 1960 and he preceded her in death November 20, 2013.

She is survived by:
  • One daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Finn and husband, Bro. Eddie Finn of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandsons: Cody Finn and wife, Charity and Tyler Finn and significant other, Jade Hayes of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two great-grandsons: Tyson Finn and Ryce Finn of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: Don Benningfield of Bowling Green, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Charles Benningfield, Jr., Billie Benningfield and Doug Benningfield.
