Click on headline for complete story w/photo By Anna Murrell COLLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College will host the first New Student Orientation Day for fall 2018 incoming students on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Additional New Student Orientation Days will take place on June 1-2 and July 20-21. LWC New Student Orientation (NSO) provides incoming students with an opportunity to meet faculty, staff and other students at LWC and helps introduce them to the LWC community. NSO coordinator Regina Haugen says orientation sessions are an important step in the enrollment process for all new LWC students including transfer students and first-time freshmen. "New Student Orientation plays such a key role in preparing our students for their first day of classes in the fall," Haugen said. "Students are able to tie up any loose ends in their enrollment process and start the fall semester off fresh and ready to learn." While attending NSO, students participate in various team building games and activities. Students also get the chance to learn about academic expectations and social opportunities, and develop friendships with other future Blue Raiders. "It's not uncommon for students to meet roommates, connect with new friends, and develop lifelong friendships stemming from an orientation day," said Haugen. Parents and guests of students may also attend a session designed to help answer questions regarding public safety, residence life, health services and other student support services at LWC. Incoming LWC students may register online at www.lindsey.edu/NSorientation. Check-in begins each day at 9amCT and all programming concludes no later than 1:30pmCT. Lunch is provided.
