ACES students 'promote the general welfare'

Students fill 40 bags of necessities for homeless children

From Adair County Elementary School

Following the study of the Preamble, 5th grade students in Mrs. Angie Smith's Social Studies class decided to "promote the general welfare" by collecting items to fill bags for the homeless in our community.



Students worked together and filled 40 bag with water, toothpaste, toothbrushes, chap stick, toilet paper, blankets and other items that they thought would be useful. The bags were donated to the Adanta program. These bags will be distributed as needed.

Students involved in the project were: Aundria McQueary, Jazzy Kemp, Kaydence Karnes, Kennedy Ray, Reagan Long, Donzale Ennis, Millie Brown, Marque Hicks. Following the study of the Preamble, 5th grade students in Mrs. Angie Smith's Social Studies class at Adair County Elementary School decided to "promote the general welfare" by collecting items to fill bags for the homeless in our community: Front row - Aundria McQueary, Jazzy Kemp, Kaydence Karnes, Kennedy Ray, Reagan Long, Donzale Ennis, Millie Brown and Marque Hicks.
