2018 Farm, Home, & Garden Expo - Looks like biggest ever

Everybody seems to be having a great time, and the 2018 Farm, Home, and Garden Expo appears to be the biggest ever, according to a crowd expert, Terry Partin. There's still time to come out and register for the prizes, to be drawn and announced at around 1pmCT, and to watch activities like the event's Cupcake Wars. Adair County Garden Club at Farm, Home & Garden Expo

The Garden is IN, read one of the signs on the front of the Adair County Garden Club booth at the Farm, Home & Garden Expo. Another was an announcement that they have kits for sale to build your own bat house for only $15. And they can tell you why it's important to do so, as they show you how. Kylee Akers of Portland, Adair County, holds up two little baby chicks at the spring Farm, Home & Garden Expo. She was at the event with her Nana, Rhonda Smith, who says Kylee has always participated in 4-H. The Expo is presented by the Adair County Extension Council and was held at the elementary school. - LW

Raising funds for animal rescue at the spring Farm Home and Garden Expo, Peg Schaeffer, left, and Barbara Armitage, at right, were decked out in St. Patrick's Day colors at the Sugarfoot Rescue Farm booth. They gave out free doggie treats along with promotional ideas for people who'd like to help with rescue. - LW
