Taylor County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 27 Feb 2018

Indictments brought against 22 individuals from Campbellsville, Springfield, Columbia, Russell Springs, Elkhorn, and Buffalo, KY on charges including assault, theft, possession, burglary, bail jumping, wanton endagerment, trafficking and DUI.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Taylor County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Campbellsville, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 27 February 2018:


  • Eva R. Clark, McNary St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00028. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Possession controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (cocaine). Count 3 - Possession controlled substance, 3rd degree, drug unspecified. Count 4 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 5 - Controlled substance prescription not in original container, 1st offense. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, pretrial monitoring 1 time per week, no drugs, no violations of the law.

  • Kadesha A. Burch, E. Main St., Springfield, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00029-001. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (cocaine). Count 2 - Tampering with physical evidence. Count 3 - Traffic in marijuana, less than 8oz, 1st offense. Count 4 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Count 5 - Permit unlicensed operator to operate motor vehicle. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, pretrial monitoring. No use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law.

  • Diaz Douglas, E. Main St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00029-002. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (cocaine). Count 2 - Traffic in marijuana, less than 8oz, 1st offense. Count 3 - Operating on suspended or revoked operators license. Count 4 - Speeding 14MPH over speed limit. Bond set at $1,500 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law.

  • Dontay J. Sangster, 152 Cecil Blair Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00030. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Convicted felon in possession of a handgun. Count 2 - Failure to notify address change to department of transportation. Count 3 - Speeding 15MPH over limit. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol, no possession of firearms.

  • Stephen K. Pilkington, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00031. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Assault, 3rd degree, police officer or probation officer. Count 3 - Resisting arrest. Count 4 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Count 5 - Illegal possession of legend drug. Bond set at $1,000 full chas, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol, no contact with complaining witness or location.

  • Susan R. Livers, Holiday Cemetery Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00032. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, drug unspecified. Count 3 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Count 4 - Possession of marijuana. Bond set at $750 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law, report to pretiral monitoring 1 time per week for random drug testing, stay out of Taylor County except for court appearance.

  • Latasha N. Popplewell, Lee Rd., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00033-001. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - TBUT or disposition shoplifting under $500. Count 3 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Count 4 - Controlled substance prescription not in original container, 1st offense. Bond set at $1,500 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol, no contact with complaining witnesss.

  • Tabitha Blackwell, Lee Rd., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00033-002. Charged with 7 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ methamphetamine. Count 2 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 2g+ heroin. Count 3 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 4 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Count 5 - TBUT or disposition shoplifting under $500. Count 6 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Count 7 - Controlled substance prescription not in original container, 1st offense. Bond set at $10,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Shawnta Wilson, Bass Ridge Rd., Elkhorn, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00034. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Count 3 - Possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree, drug unspecified. Count 4 - Controlled substance, prescription not in original container, 1st offense. Bond set at $10,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Katrina Cox, Eggers St., Cambpellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00035. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - TBUT or disposition all others under $500. Count 3 - Possession controlled substance, 2nd degree, drug unspecified. Count 4 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 5 - Illegal possession of a legend drug. Count 6 - Controlled substance, prescription not in original container, 1st. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol, no contact with complaining witness.

  • David Cundiff Sr., College St., Buffalo, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00036. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession controlled substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Candace M. Allen, Phillips Dr., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00039. Chaged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree, drug unspecified. Count 4 - Public intoxication, controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Count 5 - Controlled substance prescription not in original container, 1st offense. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Crystal Smith, Anna Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00040-001. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Counts 3-4 - Endangering the welfare of a minor. Count 5 - Possession of marijuana. Bond set at $1,500 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Deric L. Shietze, Morgan Trail, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00040-002. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Counts 3-4 - Endangering the welfare of a minor. Count 5 - Possession of marijuana.   • Anita Stone, Anna Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00041. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree, inmate assault on corrections employee. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bond set at $10,000 full cash.

  • Johnathan Chase Gilbert, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00042. Charged with 4 counts. Counts 1-2 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Counts 3-4 - TBUT or disposition auto $500 or more but under $10,000. Bond set at $2,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no contact with complaining witness, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Johnathon C. Gilbert, Walling Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00043. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree, police/probation officer. Count 2 - Resisting arrest. Count 3 - Fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree, on foot. Count 4 - Unauthorized use of motor vehicle, 1st offense. Bond set at $2,500 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Tracy Yocum, Davis St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00044. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, <2g heroin. Count 2 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, <2g methamphetamine. Count 3 - Persistent felony offender. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law.

  • Marvin R. Brown, Roland St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00045. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of handgun by convicted felon. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no violations of the law.

  • Joseph A. Murrell, Colony Dr., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00046-001. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $500 or more but under $10,000. Count 3 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no contact with complaining witness, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Jesika M. Myers, Woodlawn Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00046-002. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others $500 or more but under $10,000. Count 3 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no violations of the law, no contact with Taylor Co. Schools property.
