He was a member of the First Church of God – Evendale, a proud veteran of World War II, an avid musician and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie R. Rayburn McGaha, eight brothers, three sisters and a son-in-law.

Leonard Waymon McGaha, 94, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Friday, February 23, 2018.

A visitation took place at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue Mt. Healthy, OH. Mt. Healthy, OH on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2pm-5pmCT/3pm-6pmCT. A visitation took place Monday, February 26, 2018 at the First Church of God-Evendale, 3853 Glendale Milford Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio, at 9:30amCT/10:30amET followed by the service at 10amCT/11amET.



Leonard Waymon McGaha, 94, Adair Co., KY, native (1923-2018)


He was born September 22, 1923 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Allen & Alta McGaha. He died Friday, February 23, 2018, in Ohio, at the age of 94 years, five months, and one day..

He was the beloved husband of the late Elsie R. Rayburn McGaha, loving father of Debra Zeis, Rodney (Judy) McGaha and Lana (Mark) Panko and beloved uncle of Garry Hopf and Sherry Bradley.

He leaves to cherish his memory:
  • Six grandchildren

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • And numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by eight brothers -- Millard McGaha, Elbert McGaha, Loren McGaha, Asa McGaha, Thera McGaha, Leslie McGaha, Dewey McGaha and Alfred B. McGaha; by three sisters -- Luella McGaha, Hattie (McGaha) McGaha and Elnora (McGaha) Rogers; and a son-in-law: Ron Zeis.

Mr. McGaha was a member of the First Church of God – Evendale, a proud veteran of World War II, an avid musician and fisherman.
