Kathleen Grant, 88, Adair County, KY (1929-2018)

She was an educator who began her teaching career in a one room school in Taylor County, KY, and eventually retired from the Adair County School District. She was native of Adair County, KY, and a member of an outstanding Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late John Will & Julia Corbin Cundiff, and the widow of Norman Grant. She was a member of the Cane Valley Christian Church. Her final resting place will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia, KY.

Kathleen Grant, 88, formerly of Columbia, KY, died Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 9:10pmCT, at the Gallatin Center for Rehab and Health in Gallatin, TN.

There will be a graveside service at 2pmCT, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with burial to follow. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

She was born March 1, 1929, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late John Will & Julia Corbin Cundiff. She died Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Gallatin, Sumner County, KY, at the age of 88 year, 11 months, and 16 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Grant, in 2001 and a sister, Elizabeth Caldwell.

She was an Educator, starting in an one-room school in Taylor County and retiring from the Adair County School System and a member of Cane Valley Christian Church.

Survivors include:
  • Her sister: Mary Rose Simpson of Glasgow, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
