LWC grad Derek Morrow promoted by KY Dept. of Corrections Derek Morrow, LWC 2010, promoted to Assistant Supervisor in Probation and Parole District 20 Click on headline for complete story News from Kentucky.gov Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole Director John Hall today announced the promotion of Derek Morrow to assistant supervisor of District 20. District 20 encompasses eight counties including Clinton, Lincoln, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Russell, Wayne and Whitley. "Morrow has consistently gone above and beyond as a probation and parole officer," Hall said. "I'm pleased to have someone of his caliber fill this leadership position in District 20." Morrow began his career with the Kentucky Department of Corrections in May 2011 as a probation and parole officer in Monticello. He supervised caseloads in Russell and Clinton counties. In June 2013 Morrow transferred to the Somerset office and began supervising a Pulaski County caseload. In 2014 he became a field training officer for District 20. The following year Morrow served on the American Correctional Association (ACA) compliance review team for the Division of Probation and Parole. Morrow is a 2010 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College where he earned bachelor's degree in both criminal justice and psychology. He is a 2015 graduate of the Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program. He received the Achievement Award for District 20 in 2015 as well. This story was posted on 2018-02-16 11:56:17
