Adair Co. School Board adopts 2018-2019 calendar

Adair County parents, students, and staff can now prepare family plans for the coming school year with a lot more certainty, following the board's approval of the second reading for the 2018-2019 school year.


The calendar was presented by Dean of Students Robbie Harmon. Approval came on motion by Board Member Daniel Adams (Div 2), with a second by Member Jonathan Gaskins (4), with Vice Chairman Terry Harvey (1), Mike Harris (2), and Chair Lisa Burton (3), affirming in a show of hands vote.

The calendar calls for the first day for students on August 9, 2018. The last day of school will be May 16, 2018.

The Calendar above was given a second reading and officially approved at the special called regular February 13, 2018, meeting of the Adair County Board of Education. Even so, it very likely may have changes in its final form. Adair County School District Dean of Students Robbie Harmon prepared a vest pocket version:2018-19 Adair School District Calendar in Brief. That calendar, with the most important dates for the coming year, the ones least likely to change, should be a better guide to planning, he said.

Adair County School District Dean of Students Robbie Harmon prepared this pocket calendar in brief, with the most important dates for the coming year. He noted that while the Paired Full Calendar is the one officially approved by the board at it's special called regular February 13, 2018, meeting, it is more likely to have changes later. The dates above will help parents and students plan vacations.
