Mrs. Russell Logan Williams, 103, Cumberland Co., KY native (1914-2018)

Her century of life will be celebrated in Louisville and at a graveside service in Cumberland County in the French-Logan Cemetery. She leaves 44 living decendents.

Mrs. Russell Logan Williams, age 103, passed away on February 11, 2018 in Louisville, KY.

A service to celebrate Russell's life will be held at Expressway Avenue Church of Christ, 4437 S 6th St., Louisville, KY on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 9amCT with burial to follow in the French-Logan Cemetery in Cumberland County at 2pmCT. The family will accept guests at Arch L. Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Boulevard, Louisville, KY on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 1pm-7pmCT.



Mrs. Russell Williams, Cumberland Co., KY native (1914-2018)

Russell Logan Williams was born on December 7, 1914, in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Myrtie French Logan. She died February 11, 2018, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 103 years, two months, and four days.

Russell is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Homer Williams; three brothers and three sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are :
  • Her four children, Marjorie Blake (John), Dixie Pavey (Glen), Peggy Mayfield and Terry Williams (Sally);

  • Eleven grandchildren;

  • Twenty great grandchildren;

  • Nine great great grandchildren.
