Taft Neal suddenly drafted as dad to a four-month-old

Taft Neal sends this huge thank you to the Columbia Police Department, "God bless you, thank you - melts my heart." - TN

By Ed and Linda Waggener

Taft Neal works maintaining the grounds and a lot more at Lindsey Wilson College. He is a good friend and liaison to City of Columbia employees, always bringing the platform lift truck when it's time to change the Christmas lights.

Taft Neal is now learning to change diapers and reaching out to friends coming to help him with his new calling as he goes from uncle to dad.

Life and times have brought Taft to sudden parenthood for what he thinks will be "a little while." He was given temporary custody of his four-month-old nephew he calls "Little Man" and he said he did not have the money to afford a proper bed for the baby.
He put a social media post out and the Columbia Police Department came to his aid. He said that Josh Brockmen delivered a brand new bed.

Taft sends this message to the CPD, "God bless you, thank you -- melts my heart."

This sudden dad can be reached by email at nealt@lindsey.edu.
