LWC wrestling competes in Newberry, SC - Sat 03 Feb 2018

COLUMBIA, KY – The No. 9-ranked Lindsey Wilson wrestling team competes at the Newberry Open Saturday hosted by NCAA Division II member Newberry (SC at Eleazer Arena, 2100 College Street (Campus), Newberry, SC, starting at 8amCT/9amET.



The Blue Raiders last competed on Thursday against Campbellsville (KY) where they won 24-12. The Blue Raiders won 7-of-10 matches on the night, including four of the final five to help put the dual away against the Tigers.

Brett Bradford recorded a 17-0 technical fall at the 165-pound class in 5:18 as Corey Hinkle added an 8-0 major decision at the 197-pound class. Four other Blue Raiders produced decisions on the night.

Lindsey Wilson has a host of wrestlers ranked individually in the NAIA. Tessari is ranked first in the 157-pound weight class. Dorian Coleman is fifth in the 165 class as Colton Gonzalez is fifth in the 174 class. Moser is 12th in the 133 class and in the heavyweight class Brandon Reed is 11th and Raynel Brown is 17th.
