Capital Plaza Tower Implosion will be March 11, 2018 Finance and Administration Cabinet Secretary William M. Landrum III announced on January 30, 2018 that the implosion of the Capital Plaza Tower, 405 Wilkinson Boulevard, Frankfort, will be March 11, 2018 at 12:30pmCT/1:30pmET. CRM/D.W. Wilburn #2 LLC, the development and construction team for the Capital Plaza Complex redevelopment project, has contracted with Controlled Demolition, Inc. (CDI) for the demolition. CDI has more than 60 years of experience and a range of demolition projects around the world. The Finance Cabinet, CRM, and D.W. Wilburn have already had preliminary discussions with the city, local law enforcement and emergency services.
