An additional candidate filed on Monday, January 29, 2018, in Adair County who was not included in the earlier update for that day. (Last minute email failure):

- Philip Nafziger, R, filed as a candidate for Magistrate in Adair County District 3, (2018-01-29). Nafziger's entry sets up a primary contest with incumbent Magistrate Sammy Baker.
