Monday was a busy day for local candidate filing in Adair County Court Clerk's office on the next to the last day for filing.

Clerk Lisa Greer said the count of still active candidates is now 57, including today's new listings: Those who filed today are:


  • Paul Turner, R - for Adair County Property Valuation Administrator (2018-01-28)
  • Donna G. Hadley, R - for Adair County Clerk (2018-01-28)
  • David Barnett, R - for Constable, District 2 (2018-01-28
  • Shannon Rowe, R - for Constable, District 3 (2018-01-28
In the PVA race, Paul Turner becomes the fifth candidate, and the fourth Republican, in the race, the other Repubicans are Ken Hill, Jeffrey Scott Neat, and Jordan A. Burton. Landon Edwards is unopposed for the Democratic nomination.

In the Clerk's race, Donna G. Hadley is contesting incumbent Lisa Greer for the Republican nomination. No other candidates have entered this race

David Barnett is the third Republican Candidate in the race for Constable in District 2, which consists of East Columbia/Ozark precincts. Others candidates are Craig Bennett and Mark Selby.

Shannon Rowe is the third candidate for the Republican nomination for Constable in District 3, which includes South Columbia-Harmony, and Glens Fork-Melson Ridge Precincts. He faces Robert Loy, the incumbent; and John Lee Chicoine. Rowe is the incumbent constable in District 2. He has not moved, but mapping clarifications require him to run in District 3, this time.
