Election 2018: Two have filed for 29th Commonwealth Attorney

Two Republicans - no Democrats - have filed as 30 Jan 2018 deadline approaches.

As the January 30, 2018 deadline for filing approaches, Adair and Casey Countians currently have two candidates for the 29th District Commonwealth's Attorney Seat. They are:


  1. Roger Elliott, Columbia, KY, R, who filed 2017-11-27. Roger Elliott was a long time circuit judge serving the 29th Judicial District. (Filing photo)
  2. Brian Wright*, Liberty, KY, R, who filed 2017-12-04. (Filing photo) Wright had held the office previously and currently holds the office by appointment of Gov. Bevin, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Gale Williams.
So far, no Democrat has filed for the position.
