Traffic Alert: All lanes of I-65 blocked due to crash Interstate 65 southbound blocked at the 6 mile marker in Simpson County, KY. A detour at exit 6 has been established. By Wes Watt, Public Information Officer KY Transportation Cabinet, District 3, Bowling Green, KY BOWLING GREEN, KY (Thu 25 Jan 2018 - 12:11pmCT) – All lanes are blocked due to a crash on Interstate 65 southbound at the 6 mile marker in Simpson County. A detour has been setup at exit 6 utilizing KY 100, KY 1008 and U.S. 31-W through Franklin. Motorists can get back on I-65 at exit 2 using U.S. 31-W. Long delays and backups are expected. In addition to the crash, the Tennessee Department of Transportation is pothole patching on I-65 south from mile marker 118 to mile marker 121 just across the Kentucky/Tennessee line. Traffic backups and delays are expected with the pothole patching until around 3 p.m. Motorists need to use caution and slowdown while in the area.More real-time traffic information is available at GoKY.ky.gov.
