Josie Sexton Roach, 98, Adair Co., KY (d. 21 Jan 2018)

She was a member of a leading Prices Creek, Adair/Metcalfe County, area family. She is remembered for her generously given, heartwarming smiles, her devotion to her family, and her Christian example. She was the widow of the late Willie Roach. She was a member of Prices Creek Baptist Church and retired from Union Underwear.

Josie Sexton Roach, 98, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Adair County, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on January 21, 2018.

Her funeral service will be held at 9amCT/10amET, Thursday, January 25 at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Drive, Louisville, KY with interment to follow at Moore Cemetery, Prices Creek Road, 25 Prices Creek Road, in Western Adair County, KY. Visitation will be 1pm-7pmCT/2pm-8pmET, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Rattermans.



She was a member of Prices Creek Baptist Church in Adair County, KY, and had retired from Union Underwear, Campbellsville, KY.

Among those who proceeded her in death was her husband, Willie Roach

She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • Her son: J.C. Roach (Joan)

  • Her two grandchildren: Jeff Roach and Jan Glancy<

  • Her four great grandchildren: Joshua Roach, Sara Roach, Stephanie Wethington, and Shannon Glancy

  • Her two great great grandchildren: Oliver Grey and Bradon

  • Her brother: James H. Sexton of Columbia, KY

  • Her sister, Cleo Wilson.
