Letter: Remembering Robin Smith Comments re: Robin Smith, Adair County, KY, (1956-2018). By Alice Smith Robinson Robin was married to my brother Robert for 43 years. When they first married, Robin was a very quiet person; of course, Robert had 12 sisters so she didn't have much of a chance to talk, but after a few years she started talking like we all did. Robin was one of the sweetest, kindest, loving persons I ever met. We all learned to love her so much. My brother loved her so much he told us many times that, when he heard her pull in their driveway from work, it was the happiest time of his life. Robin was a great Christian lady and she lived it every day. I look at her picture and I have a hard time believing that she is not here with us any more. As most of you know, the last three months was very difficult for Robin, but she fought, and her family fought right along beside her, for her to get well, but it wasn't in God's plan for her. On January 19th Robin lost her battle with cancer. Robert, Jamie, Rachel, Liz, Steve, Dana, and Lindsey, she loved all of you, her grandchildren; she adored Lindsey, she was so proud of you. I know she is with Jesus now and what a story she could tell us when our time comes to make that same trip to Heaven. Let's all be ready, whether we go in the Rapture or one at a time, we will meet Robin on the other side. I love you, Robin, and will miss you every day. Go Rest High On That Mountain. RIP my friend. --Alice Smith Robinson This story was posted on 2018-01-23 10:44:53
