Lindsey Wilson Women's Swimming defeats CU 169-71 By Anthony Latessa News from Lindsey Wilson College Athletics COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team concluded its regular season schedule on Saturday with a 169-71 victory over Campbellsville (Ky.) at the Holloway Center Natatorium. The Blue Raiders won all 14 events during the dual, racking up 10 national standards. Jessica Macdonald and Alexis Kessler each won three events. Emily Wood and Caitlin Freeny added two individual victories while Sarah Hahn and Bailey Seitz had one victory apiece. The 200-yard medley relay team of Hahn, Freeny, Laura Stephenson and Wood along with the 200 freestyle relay team of Kessler, Seitz, Stephenson and Macdonald also earned victories. Macdonald picked up her first victory in the 200 freestyle with a time of one minute and 59.18 seconds which was also good for an A standard. She earned her second victory and A standard on the day in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.40. Macdonald picked up her third victory and A cut in the 200 individual medley finishing with a time of 2:15.71. Kessler got her first victory in the 200 butterfly finishing with a time of 2:21.33 which was also good for a national B cut. She earned her first A cut on the day in the 100 freestyle finishing in first with a time of 53.43. Kessler's third victory and second A standard came in the 100 butterfly where she finished with a time of 1:00.41. Wood earned a national B standard in the 1,650 freestyle finishing in first with a time of 19:12.43 and picked up another victory in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:39.38. Freeny earned victories in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Seitz earned a victory in the 100 backstroke while Hahn finished first in the 200 backstroke. Stephenson also earned a national B standard in the 500 freestyle with a time of 25.85. The 200-yard medley relay team of Hahn, Freeny, Laura Stephenson and Wood earned an A cut with a time of 1:49.61. The 200 freestyle relay team of Kessler, Seitz, Stephenson and Macdonald earned an A standard with a time of 1:42.60.
