LW Volleyball to unveil NAIA National Championship Banner Thursday 18 Jan 2018

COLUMBIA, KY - (Thu 18 Jan 2018) -The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team will unveil their 2017 NAIA National Championship banner on Thursday night in Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY at halftime of the Blue Raider men's basketball game against Life (GA). Tipoff for the men's contest is scheduled for 8pmCT, with the banner unveiling set for approximately 8:45pmCT.



The LWC volleyball team claimed the first national title in program history after defeating Dordt (Iowa) 3-1 in the national championship match on December 2, 2017.

The victory capped off an undefeated 35-0 season as the Blue Raiders captured both the Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament titles.

At the national tournament, Makenzie Montano was named the Most Valuable Player, Elly Burke and Paulina Sobolewska earned All-Tournament Team honors and Andy Cavins was named the Tournament Coach of the Year.
