He was a farmer, former Director of the Brush Creek Fire Department, retired from the Casey County School System, and was a Deacon and member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Calvin & Mamye Vanoy Allen. His wife, Edna Hall Allen, survives. Visitation will be at 10amET Monday, January 15, 2018 until time for the funeral. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
