Saloma Baptist Church cancels services today, 14 Jan 2018 Saloma Baptist Church, (Taylor County) 1505 West Saloma Road (Highway 744 west), Campbellsville, KY, is CANCELING all services today starting with Sunday School-9amCT/10amET, and all other services throughout Sunday, January 14, 2018. - Bro John Chowning See also: Church's entry in CM Directory of Churches. Follow church schedule changes in CM EVENTS Some suggestions for worship today written to the congregation By Bro John Chowning Due to the combination of cold weather, snow and ice on most side roads, and widespread flu and sickness, we will cancel all Sunday services and activities at Saloma Baptist Church. Please take this opportunity to study your Sunday School lesson, watch one of the really good services on TV (like Immanuel Baptist in Lexington or Walnut Street Baptist in Louisville), spend some time in Bible Study and prayer, and spend time with family in the warmth and comfort of your home. As your pastor, this is always a tough decision. We take the ministries of our our church very seriously and value the gathering of the people as a community of faith. But with such widespread sickness, bitterly cold weather, and the snow and ice on roads that will refreeze overnight, this seems to be the best decision. Let me thank Tommy McVay who has arranged someone to clean the church parking lot, walks, etc. It won’t be necessary this weekend given our decision. Please reach out and check on those who are sick, shut in, lonely, etc. We love you all in Jesus Christ our Lord. In Christ, Bro. John Pastor This story was posted on 2018-01-14 06:40:18
