Mable E. Morgan, Russell County, KY (1933-2018)

Mrs. Morgan was a member of Mt. Calvary Community Church. She loved to garden and enjoyed caring for others. Mable also loved animals, especially her cat. She was born in Casey County, KY, and was a resident of Russell County, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Tommy & Myrtle DeHart Mason. Her husband, Milton Morgan, survives. She leaves 26 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Thomas Ridge Cemetery in Casey County, KY.

Mable E. Morgan, 84, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Fair Oaks Health Systems in Jamestown, KY, having attained the age of 84.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10am-1pmCT/11am-2pmET, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Pallbearers will be Gary Owens, Ed Sturgill, Tyler Owens, Dustin Brown, Ray Owens, and Frank High.

Born on July 6, 1933, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Tommy & Myrtle DeHart Mason. She died Sunday, January 7, 2018, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 84 years, six months, and one day.

Mrs. Morgan was a member of Mt. Calvary Community Church. She loved to garden and enjoyed caring for others. Mable also loved animals, especially her cat.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Milton Morgan of Russell Springs, KY

  • Five children: Linda Lou (and James) Sturgill of Russell Springs, KY; Gilbert (and Sheryll) Daniel of Somerset, KY; Charles (and Mary) Daniel of Windsor, KY; Larry (and Oleda) Daniel of Dunnville, KY; and Timothy Daniel of Dunnville, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Twelve great-grandchildren.

  • And a sister: Vernie Mae Roberts of Shelbyville, IN
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Daniel; two brothers, Alford Mason and William Mason; and her first husband, Ray Daniel.
