Lenvil McQueary, Jamestown, KY (1936-2017)

He was a native of Russell County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of his death in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was patriarch of a large respected family. He leaves nine direct and 17 step living descendants. He was the son of the late Ollie Mae (Simpson) & Willis Booge McQueary, and the widower of Alena Chumbley McQueary.

Lenvil McQueary, 81, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Friday December 29, 2017, at his home.

Funeral Services will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT, Tuesday January 2, 2017, with Pastor Ralph Hadley officiating. Friends may visit after 11amCT, on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in the Luttrell Cemetery in Casey County, KY.

He was born in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY on January 25, 1936, a son of the late Ollie Mae (Simpson) & Willis Booge McQueary. He died Friday, December 29, 2017, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and four days. Lenvil is survived by:
  • His daughter: Vickie (Jerry) Hadley, of Jamestown, KY

  • Step daughter: Patricia (Donald) Miller, of Rex, GA

  • Sisters: Susie Burton, of Jamestown, KY; Mary Bell Flanagan, of Russell Springs, KY; Brenda Bray, of Somerset, KY; and Raydean Lunsford, of IN

  • Brother: Jay McQueary, of IN

  • Three grandchildren

  • Five step grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren

  • Ten step great grandchildren

  • One step great great grandchild
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Effie Alena (Chumbley) McQueary, two sons, Ricky Lee and Randall McQueary; step son Patrick Lawless, five brothers, Leonis, Lousure, William, Leslie and Orvin McQueary; two sisters, Mae West and Flora Baker.
