December 16, 2015 the interchange lights on the Cumberland Parkway and Burkesville Road, New Columbia Greater Bliss area came on for the first time. This was a momentous occasion in Adair County history. Since then things have been chugging right along with new development everywhere. The girls can now see what is going on 24 hours a day.

And they have lots to keep an eye on.

Miss Shannon's business is opening next week, we hear

We hear Miss Shannon's Adair County Quik Lube will be opening next week.

The girls have been told to be in their best behavior since they may be her customers entertainment while their vehicle is being serviced.

Also other buildings are under construction to be finished by spring.

Crime report

One small note, 9 cows and 7 calves are in a bit of trouble this morning.

Seems they pushed the cattle trailer door open where I store empty feed sacks and proceeded to look for one with a little feed in it since they were so terribly hungry.

It's only been about 16 hours since they last dined on 100 pounds of grain.

No rest for a busy farm gal.

Warning to litter bugs

I must get to work gathering feed sacks and having a nice talk with those girls about NOT being litter bugs.

We have enough of that without them adding to the problem.

Miss Vicky: Undeniable trail of evidence of cow crime

2017-12-17 - Miss Victorias Pampered Angus Range, Greater Bliss, KY - Photo by Miss Vicky.
A total of 16 are implicated in this littering crime - nine cows who ought to have known better, and 7 impressionable calves hanging out with the wrong crowd. Miss Vicky, whose patience is tried and who would have had the full force of the law on people-types doing a comparable thing, writes, "Seems they pushed the cattle trailer door open where I store empty feed sacks and proceeded to look for one with a little feed in it since they were so terribly hungry," adding, "It's only been about 16 hours since they last dined on 100 pounds of grain. No rest for a busy farm gal."
