She retired as a Coordinator of Scott County Middle Youth Service Center, was a member and former Secretary of First Christian Church Middlesboro, KY, Disciples of Christ. She attended Campbellsville College and was a graduate of the University of KY. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi of Middlesboro. She was a former member of the Middlesboro Garden Club and the Middlesboro Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of an outstanding Adair County, KY, family, the daughter of the late Earl Dennis & Christine Goff Cain. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Virginia Cain Walker, 73, passed away December 9, 2017 in Georgetown, KY.

Visiting hours are 3pm-5pmCT/4pm-6pmET Thursday December 14, 2017 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home, 320 W Main Street, Georgetown, KY, with funeral services beginning at 5pmCT/6pmET with Pastor Anton Folz officiating. Burial will be 1pmCT/2pmET, Friday December 15, 2017 at Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY.



Pallbearers will be Shawn Matthew Cox, Matthew Phillip Cox, Anna Catherine Cox, Donahue Kevin Farley, Logan Weslee Farley, and Caroline Elizabeth Farley.

She was born September 7, 1944 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Earl Dennis & Christine Goff Cain. She died Sunday, December 9, 2017, in Georgetown, Scott County, KY, at the age of 73 years, three months, and two days.

She retired as a Coordinator of Scott County Middle Youth Service Center, was a member and former Secretary of First Christian Church Middlesboro, KY, Disciples of Christ. She attended Campbellsville College and was a graduate of the University of KY. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi of Middlesboro. She was a former member of the Middlesboro Garden Club and the Middlesboro Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by:
  • Her daughters: Beth Walker Cox (Shawn Matthew Cox) of Great Falls, VA; and Alice Walker Farley (Donahue Kevin Farley) of Sadieville, KY

  • Grandchildren: Anna Catherine Cox, Matthew Phillip Cox, Caroline Elizabeth Farley, and Logan Weslee Farley
