Martha Suter Wyatt, Casey County, KY/Henry County, KY native (1946-2017)

She was a former Camp Manager with Camp Wa-Kon-Da-Ho and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a native of New Castle, KY, and a resident of Liberty, KY, at the time of her death. She was the matriarch of a respected Casey County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Everett Benson Suter & Ida Christine Ford Suter. Her husband, Claud Finley Wyatt, survives. She leaves 37 direct living descendants.

Martha Wyatt, age 71, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday December 8, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday December 11, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown and Bro. Jerry Johns officiating. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Sunday December 10, 2017 and after 7amCT/8amET, Monday December 11, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born in New Castle, Henry County, KY on September 25, 1946. She was a daughter of the late Everett Benson Suter & Ida Christine Ford Suter. She died Friday, December 8, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 71 years, two months, and 13 days.

Martha was a former Camp Manager with Camp Wa-Kon-Da-Ho and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include:
  • Her spouse: Claud Finley Wyatt

  • Four daughters: Tina Faye and (Jerry) Hutchins of Taylorsville, KY; Sandra Ann and (Terry) Bolin of Liberty, KY; Donna Michele and (Buddy) Jeffries of Shelbyville, KY; and Jessica Raye Payton and (Stephen) of Danville, KY

  • One son: Claud and (Pearlie) Wyatt of Taylorsville, KY

  • Eighteen grandchildren

  • Fourteen great grandchildren

  • And two sisters: Linda Wills of Eminence, KY; and Patsy Tournade of Tampa, FL
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter.
