Justin Ray Atwood, 25, Liberty, Casey Co., KY (1992-2017)

He can be remembered by his favorite phrase "I'm something like a big deal!" He was a son of the Donald Ray Cochran & Melissa Sue Atwood White, both of whom survive. He was a native of Boyle County, KY, and a resident of Casey County, KY, at the time of his death. He leaves one direct living descendant, a son, William Carson Atwood, and many, many leaving forebears to cherish his memory. His final resting place will be in Brush Creek Cemetery in Casey County, KY

Justin Ray Atwood, of Liberty, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Liberty. He was 25.

The funeral service will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Kenneth Crew officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10am-12pmNoonCT/11am-1pmET, on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.



Justin Ray Atwood, 25, Casey County, KY (1992-2017)

Born on January 22, 1992, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, he was a son of Donald Ray Cochran & Melissa Sue Atwood White. He died Friday, November 29, 2019, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 25 years, 10 months, and seven days.

Justin can be remembered by saying his favorite phrase, "I'm something like a big deal!"

In addition to his parents, he is survived by:
  • A son: William Carson Atwood

  • Four sisters: Faith (Nathaniel) Crew, Kendra Cochran, Jerika Bell, and Hailey White, all of Liberty, KY

  • Three brothers: Christopher (Stacia) Atwood, Jackie Bell, and Jordan Ray Cochran, all of Liberty, KY

  • Both of his maternal great-grandmothers: Louise Atwood and Elizabeth Grider, both of Liberty, KY

  • Maternal grandmother: Brenda Atwood of Liberty, KY

  • Paternal great-grandmother: Doris Brown of Liberty, KY

  • Paternal grandmotherL Joyce Brown Cochran of Liberty, KY

  • His step-father: Marcus White

  • Six nieces and nephews

  • A special friend: Maggie Spears

  • A close friend and cousin: Dallas Chadwell
Justin is predeceased by his maternal great-grandfathers, Harlis Grider and William Cochran; maternal grandfathers, Lonnie Atwood and Jim Wilson; paternal grandfather, Marvin Cochran; and an uncle, Rodney Cochran.
