Russell Springs, KY Revitalization presented the annual Russell Springs Christmas Parade Saturday 25 Nov 2017. The lineup began at the Russell County Veterans Fairgrounds and was routed North to South down their historic Main Street to the delight of hundreds of families lining the route.

The parade was the conclusion of a day of music, food and fun in Russell Springs, highlighted by the parade, a family tradition for many. Children got their first glimpse of Santa on the fire truck.



Next in Russell County: Jamestown, KY Christmas celebration is Dec 1, 2017

Friday, 1 Dec 2017 from 4pm-9pmCT brings Jamestown's Russell County Christmas on the Square celebration. Events include Christmas tree lighting and a children's ornament ceremony at 6:30pmCT on the lawn of the Russell County Judicial Center.

Included in the afternoon and evening will be local vendor booths and horse drawn carriage rides around Jamestown's historic public square.

There will be opportunities for photos with Santa Claus in Beck Park, 20 S Main Street, Jamestown, KY, starting at 5pmCT sponsored by the Jamestown Lions Club, and children can meet characters from The Nutcracker and hear community carolers.

Everyone had a big wave for Santa in Russell Springs parade

Children got their first glimpse of Santa Clause riding in on the fire truck today, Saturday 25 Nov 2017, in the annual Russell Springs, KY Christmas Parade. The lineup began at the Russell County Veterans Fairgrounds and was routed down Main Street to the delight of hundreds.

Santa on the fire truck, decked out cars, trucks, wagons, horses, candidates and more made up the annual Russell Springs Christmas Parade which took place Saturday 25 Nov 2017 and had people lining the streets. The parade was the conclusion of a day filled with music, food and fun in Russell Springs, highlighted by the family tradition. The next holiday celebration in Russell County will be held Friday, 1 Dec 2017 from 4pm-9pmCT when the county seat, Jamestown, holds the Russell County Christmas on the Square celebration. Events begin 1t 4pmCT.

Grinch didn't steal fun at Main Street RS parade

After the Russell Springs Christmas Parade last Saturday, the Grinch was spotted heading West on Main Street. He didn't get to steal the Christmas good times on this date but little ones will have to keep a close eye out and make sure he has no chance to mess up plans between now and Christmas day.
