LWC Men & Women Swimmers host Bethel (TN) Sat 11 Nov 2017 - SENIOR DAY

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swimming teams host Bethel (TN) for a 1pmCT, Saturday, November 11, 2017 dual at the Holloway Center Natatorium, 299 Williams Street, on Senior Day.




At the first break, eight seniors of the men's and women's programs will be recognized for their contributions and accomplishments. The eight seniors are the largest senior class the programs have had.

Lindsey Wilson competed against Union (KY) and Campbellsville (KY) in duals on November 4, 2017.

The men's team defeated Campbellsville 164-77 and fell to Union 153-102. Lindsey Wilson picked up four victories and recorded eight national standards.

Manny Griego won the 1,650-yard freestyle earning a B cut. Griego also took first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5 minutes and 04.44 seconds.

Clemens Paetzold won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.85 seconds, good enough for a national A standard. He added his second and the final Blue Raider win on the day after he recorded the fastest time in the 200-yard backstroke at 1:59.68. and recorded a B standard.

The women's team defeated both Union and Campbellsville. Lindsey Wilson earned a 158-66 over Union and defeated the Tigers 175-76. The Blue Raiders picked up 10 wins and nine national standards.

Jessica Macdonald finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute and 59.07 seconds to record a national A cut. Macdonald picked up another victory and A standard in the 100-yard breaststroke and recorded her third A cut in the 100-yard freestyle.

Alexis Kessler, Emma Phillips, Laura Stephenson, Bailey Seitz and the 200-yard medley and the 200 freestyle relays all picked up victories and A standards.
