LW Women's Basketball hosts Webber Int'l tonight 10 Nov 2017 By Christopher Coombs, LWC Athletics COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 8-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team hosts Webber International (FL) on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 6pmCT at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The Blue Raiders (3-0) are coming off a 62-46 home victory over Brescia (KY) on Tuesday night. Reagan Turner and Kayla Styles led the Blue Raiders with 14 points as Turner grabbed a team-high nine rebounds while adding five assists. Gerda Paulauskaite recorded seven boards and three blocks in the game. Lindsey Wilson shot 40.7 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from deep. On the season, LWC is averaging 69.9 points per game on 38.0 percent shooting from the field as Styles has averaged a team-high 18.7 points and 10 rebounds. Webber International (1-1) comes into the contest off an 86-70 victory on Wednesday night over Carver College (Ga.). Three Warriors scored in double figures as Ashley Perry led the way with 19 points, RayGene Garner had 18 and Montrese Weller scored 17 on five three pointers. The Warriors are averaging 65.5 points per game this season on 48.0 percent shooting from the field. Webber International is shooting a NAIA Division II best 52.2 percent from three. Garner is averaging a team-high 16.5 points per game this season. Friday's matchup is just the third ever meeting between the two programs.
