LW Football moves up to No. 4 in NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll

COLUMBIA, KY - (Mon 6 Nov 2017) - The Lindsey Wilson football team moved up one spot to No. 4 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, officials from the national office announced on Monday.

The Blue Raiders received 300 voting points from the panel of national raters and continue to be a mainstay in the rankings, now appearing in 61-consecutive polls dating back to the first week of the 2013 season.



Lindsey Wilson is coming off a 37-14 victory over Georgetown (KY) on Saturday. The Blue Raiders converted 8-of-13 third-down attempts in the win while outgaining the Tigers 433-314 in total yards. With the victory, LWC set a program record for consecutive wins with nine while earning at least a share of the divisional title with one game remaining in the regular season.

Saint Francis (IN) continues to hold the top spot in the poll with 340 points and all 15 first-place votes. Reinhardt (GA) is No. 2 with 325 points while Morningside (Iowa) is the final team ahead of the Blue Raiders at No. 3 with 316 points.

Just six teams remain in the poll with unbeaten records.

Joining the Blue Raiders from the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division in the poll is Georgetown at No. 12, Campbellsville (KY) at No. 18 and Cumberland (TN) receiving votes.
