ACSO traffic stop for reckless driving results in drug arrests Russell County driver, Adair County passenger face charges. Adair Sheriff's Department investigation of allegations of 2005 Dodge being driven at high speed and "driving all over the road," the vehicle was subject of traffic stop, which resulted in charges for the driver of reckless driving and driving on suspended license, and drug related charges for driver and passenger. Note: Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. From Adair County Sheriff's Office Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss reports that a traffic stop for reckless driving late Saturday night, 2017, turned into felony drug charges for a Adair County man and a Russell County man. Deputy Josh Durbin conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Dodge on Vester Road around 1:30amCT, Saturday morning after observing the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and driving all over the road. The vehicle was being operated by 23-year-old Damien Wilson of Russell Springs, KY. After a investigation Wilson was arrested and charged with reckless driving, operating on a suspended license, drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana and poss of methamphetamine. A passenger 23 year old Cody Cowan of Adair County was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine.
