Charlotte Raney Carman, 76, Casey County, KY (1940-2017)

She was a former Dispatcher for the Casey Co. Sheriff's Department, former employee of the Circuit Court Clerk's Office, and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was a native of Casey County, KY, the daughter of the late Dewitt S. & Lizie Patterson Raney, and the widow of Herbert Creech Carman. She leaves 10 direct living descendants.

Charlotte Carman, age 76, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday November 3, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 10amCT/11amET, Monday November 6, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Haste officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Sunday November 5th, 2017 and after 7amCT/8amET, on Monday November 6, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.



Charlotte Carman, 76, Casey County, KY (1940-2017)

She was born in Yosemite, Casey County, KY on November 30, 1940. She was a daughter of the late Dewitt S. & Lizie Patterson Raney. She died Friday, November 3, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and four days.

Charlotte was the widow of Herbert Creech Carman who passed away on September 16, 2013.

She was a former Dispatcher for the Casey Co. Sheriff's Department, former employee of the Circuit Court Clerk's Office, and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Cecilia and (Chris) Atwood of Liberty, KY; and Pam and (Chris) Morgan of Yosemite, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Angela and (Adam) Denson, Justin and (Tonya) Spears, Alexis Gossett and Jessalyn Jacob

  • Four great grandchildren: Ethen and Kyron Spears and Charlotte and Malachi Denson
Besides her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by one son, Randall Creech Carman; one grandson, Aaron Morgan; one great grandson: Kade Denson; four brothers, Tyrone, Joe, Gerald and Edgar Raney; and four sisters, Vernice Raney, Iva Dean Baldock, Devola Hamilton and Pauline Goforth.
