TRAFFIC ALERT: Kentucky Welcome Center on KY/TN line closed


Update to earlier story below, 9:42amCT. 3 Nov 2017: The Kentucky Welcome Center on the Kentucky-Tennessee Border on northbound I-65 in Simpson County has been reopened. The Welcome Center was temporarily closed for about two hours due to a semi-truck fire on the ramp. Wes Watt

BOWLING GREEN, KY. (Received at 7:29amCT -Fri 3 Nov 2017) – The Kentucky Welcome Center on the Kentucky-Tennessee Border is temporarily closed due to a truck fire on the ramp. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 crews are on scene as well as the local fire department. The closure is expected to last several hours while cleanup and removal of the truck is completed.
