No. 1 LW Volleyball sweeps CU in regular-season finale Blue Raiders complete program's first perfect regular season before Powell Athletic Center crowd of 312. By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director< CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- No. 1 Lindsey Wilson closed out its regular season tonight with a 3-0 sweep over host and No. 24 Campbellsville (KY) at the Powell Athletic Center, Campbellsville University. The Blue Raiders conclude the program's first perfect regular season -- sweeping all but one foe in 2017 -- in the 25-13, 25-18, 25-13 win. Lindsey Wilson enters postseason play with a 25-0 overall record, including a 14-0 Mid-South Conference mark. Elly Burke and Yeniffer Ramirez each posted a match-high 10 kills in the win while helping the Blue Raiders to a team .337 attacking percentage. Paulina Sobolewska added nine kills while Grace Blomstedt chipped in seven for the Blue Raider offense. Makenzie Montano had another outstanding all-around game with 34 assists, five kills, and six digs. Her five kills came on seven attack attempts. Defensively, the Blue Raiders posted one solo block and 12 block assists as a team. Blomstedt and Ramirez each recorded four blocks in the win. Caitlyn Tino and Sobolewska each posted double-digit digs -- Tino had a match-high 15 while Sobolewska added 13. The Blue Raider defense held the Tigers (23-7, 10-7 in the MSC) to a .088 hitting percentage, with 19 hitting errors. Lindsey Wilson learns who its Mid-South Conference Tournament quarterfinal opponent will be following Saturday's conference regular-season finales.
