Mrs. Lynne Klingman Givens, 52, Greensburg, KY (1965-2017)

She was a member of a beloved Green County, KY, family. She was the daughter of Roger & Marlene Klingeman, who survive, as does her husband of 28 years, David Givens. She leaves three direct living descendants, a daughter and two sons. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. She was a 1983 Eastern High School graduate, received her Undergraduate Degree and Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University in Biology. She was employed with the Green County Board of Education as a Biology Teacher at the Green County High School where she was also head volleyball coach for several years. She was an avid University of Louisville Cardinal Fan, and she loved kids and watching them play sports.

Mrs. Lynne Klingeman Givens, age 52, of Greensburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at her home in Greensburg.

The funeral services for Mrs. Lynne Klingeman Givens will be conducted at 11amCT, Monday, November 6, 2017, at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, 4171 Blowing Springs Road, Greensburg, KY; with visitation prior to the funeral from 8am until 10:30amCT, at the church. Rev. Liz Kaznak-Hall will officiate.. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery beside the church. . Visitation will also be from 1pm until 7pmCT on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at the Green County High School Gymnasium, 302 Brummal Avenue, Greensburg, KY.

She was born February 10, 1965. She was the daughter of Roger & Marlene Klingeman, who survive. She died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 52 years, eight months, and 22 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. She was a 1983 Eastern High School graduate, received her Undergraduate Degree and Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University in Biology. She was employed with the Green County Board of Education as a Biology Teacher at the Green County High School where she was also head volleyball coach for several years. She was an avid University of Louisville Cardinal Fan, and she loved kids and watching them play sports.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Givens of Greensburg, KY and the following:
  • A daughter and two sons: Hannah Givens, Matthew Givens, and Michael Givens all of Greensburg, KY

  • Her Father & Mother: Roger & Marlene Klingeman of Louisville, KY

  • A brother & sister-in-law: Jeff & Jennifer Klingeman of Goshen, KY

  • A sister & brother-in-law: Lori & Kevin Heslin of Louisville, KY

  • A father-in-law & mother-in-law: David & Evelyn Givens of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister-in-law & her husband: Julie & Todd Smyrichinsky of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother-in-law & his wife: Dan & Sherri Givens of Alabama

  • A host of much beloved nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

The Family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Twisted Pink in support of Breast Cancer Research, Hosparus of Green River or the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery. These can be made at the school, church or at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home.
